The Pilot School

Mission

Pilot School’s mission is to uncover the unique educational challenges of each student and to give each child the specific developmental tools, guidance, and attention needed to learn, achieve and ultimately to feel comfortable and be successful in the academic environment that is most appropriate.

Individualized

Intentional Pilot School is a transformative PK-8 independent school for students with learning differences. Pilot transforms the school experience for students by delivering so much more than the “accommodations” offered in a traditional educational setting. Each child receives a customized interventional education that is intentionally designed to address their individual needs. Their curriculum, schedule, and support services are based on each child’s unique gifts and gives them tools to bridge the gap from “can’t” to “can.” For children who have struggled in a traditional educational setting, this approach can unlock their potential and change their future.

Integrated

With a state of the art facility, a 50+ acre campus surrounded by state and national parkland, and onsite services including speech, occupational, physical, and music therapy, Pilot has the resources to give each child the specific developmental tools, guidance, and attention needed to learn and to achieve. Our graduates are confident, successful students who understand how they learn.

As new Head of School, Dr. Alli Williams says, “All children should be learning the way students learn at Pilot. All schools should be building a program around the cognitive profile of each child, not the other way around.
