Dr. Waked, board certified in general and bariatric surgery, comes to Beebe with experience with the Mayo Clinic as a minimally invasive and bariatric surgeon. He will lead Beebe’s Center for Weight Loss Surgery to serve Delaware and surrounding communities.
Dr. Waked, who has performed over 2000 successful bariatric surgeries during his career, is an expert in sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, biliary-pancreatic diversion with duodenal switch procedures, and revisional surgeries for sleeves and bypass. He also performs general surgery such as minimally invasive colon surgery, hernia surgery, gallbladder surgery, and anti-reflux surgery.
Dr. Waked is an active member of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric
Surgery (ASMBS), and the national Obesity Action Coalition (OAC).
